Hypnosis is a changed state of mind in a person. Awareness and relaxation are increased, allowing for improved focus and concentration. During hypnosis you feel calm and relaxed. Hypnosis can be described as a meditative state that is facilitated by a guide.
All stages of hypnosis can be achieved in and out of hypnosis. Have you ever felt lethargic? Were you formally hypnotized? Have you ever driven yourself home, just to realize you got there without recollection? Were you formally hypnotized? No, but you did experience hypnosis, although it was unintended, and you were unaware of it. This can happen because all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. Even with a hypnotist, you have all of the power and choice to experience hypnosis. The hypnotist is simply a facilitator and a guide through the process. During our session you will feel safe and in control. In the hypnotic state, you will learn to release faulty beliefs about yourself and heal trauma so you can transform into the person you truly are supposed to be. We never relive the painful trauma, we instead come to a healthy understanding of the initial event, dispel the beliefs that allowed the trauma to set in, and we are then able to heal and release from it.
